Ciclos and linaje (cycles and lineage) project is centered around the pioneering endeavor of becoming the inaugural member in one's family to break the cycles of generational trauma. In numerous indigenous communities, the pervasive issue of generational trauma has led to the inherited burden of PTSD, impacting individuals' lives and decision-making processes. My project delves into the profound love one harbors for their family, emphasizing the recognition that, despite the historical lack of resources for mental health improvement, individuals possess agency over their future. It articulates the narrative of reclaiming control and elucidates the means through which individuals can forge meaningful relationships with their loved ones, even amidst disparate upbringing circumstances.
