Zuly Garcia is a highly skilled professional based in Los Angeles, specializing in photography, art direction, production, and activism. With a deep-rooted connection to her community in the vibrant Crenshaw & Jefferson District, Zuly strives to authentically represent and embrace the rich culture and lifestyle of her city.

Zuly's passion for photography ignited at the young age of 13 when she began capturing the energy and essence of concerts and events, starting with Vans Warped Tour. Over time, she expanded her subjects and mediums, immersing herself in the world of arts. Zuly’s work has been exhibited in numerous showcases, digital platforms, and local art shows throughout Los Angeles.

Drawing upon her background as a Sociology major and alumna of CSULB, Zuly utilizes her sociological education and tools to inspire her artistic endeavors. Through her art, she explores a wide range of topics, including politics, social issues, social constructs, and body positivity. Zuly's unique artistic style incorporates vivid colors, floral elements, and abstract installations, resulting in captivating and thought-provoking pieces.

Recognized for her exceptional talent, Zuly's work has been featured by reputable publications and platforms such as Mic News, NPR USA Latino, MitΓΊ, Fierce by MitΓΊ Undocumedia, Hip Latina, Vogue EspaΓ±a, Voyage LA Magazine, Afro-Tech and more.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Zuly has also excelled as an Image Quality Expert, specializing in the enhancement and tuning of Pixel cameras at Google. She was hand picked by Googles Real Tone team to make image tools more fair and accessible for everyone. Her work on Real Tone for Pixel 6 reflects her commitment to improving image quality and ensuring equitable representation. She has contributed to the refinement of various features such as Magic Eraser, Camouflage, Real Tone, Night Sight, Skin Texture, Auto Enhance, and Deep Restore. In this role, Zuly leverages her expertise to provide valuable feedback to engineers, collaborate with multiple technical teams, and tackle tuning challenges.

Zuly's remarkable skills and experience have led her to collaborate with renowned brands such as Google, Vive Cosmetics, Foot Action X Nike, Footlocker, SLX, Girlfriend, Mitu, Loquita Bath & Body, and many more. Her diverse range of talents as a producer and photographer have made her an invaluable asset to these esteemed partnerships as not just a photographer but as a Creative Director, Art Director, and Production Designer.

Volunteer Non-Profit Work
In 2017 Garcia started her own fundraiser to help those affected by the 8.2 Earthquake in the southern born of Mexico in Oaxaca, an indigenous population who lost their homes and lacked basic resources. As a OaxaqueΓ±a, Garcia raised $17,000 dollars in Los Angeles for resources and donated them directly to families affected by traveling to Oaxaca to give teachers salaries, school resources, and more with another non-profit POR OAXACA. Overall, Garcia is a culturally diverse artist that embraces multicultural and diverse narratives at home and abroad and continues to fight for representation in media.
