A HAIRY & BODY POSITIVE GALENTINES DAY

As many of you know body hair has been systematically shameful in the media, by men / patriarchy, and some of us have been shamed in our own culture through our families for looking too "masculine" and not doing the so called "right thing" by shaving to look feminine . In this project I want to dismantle the negative perspectives on body hair and provide you a space to honor ourselves. I chose the Valentines Day theme because I want to celebrate Valentines Day different this year. Valentines Day structural form of celebration is to celebrate and romanticize love or relationships. However, this year I want to romanticize body hair, our bodies, one another, diversity, but overall to love ourselves! Our fuzzy bodies from little hair to a lot hair are beautiful and I want to honor, decorate, and romanticize our different identities, body shapes, ethnicities, Religion, etc. Happy Valentine’s Day!!❤️❤️
